We conduct separate reviews of reviews to ensure that the reviews presented are actually from consumers. All visitors to our website can submit reviews for our products. The submission of reviews is not linked to a user account or similar.
We use the following mechanisms to check the ratings we receive:
Every incoming review is manually sifted and checked by us. We check the content of the rating for logical inconsistencies and other conspicuous features.
As soon as an evaluation contains anomalies due to our checking mechanisms, a detailed manual check of the respective individual cases follows. All evaluations filtered out or reported in this way are subjected to a general plausibility check by our team.
For the plausibility check, we take into account the entire evaluation behavior of the customer and also take a look at the content and metadata (device ID, date) of the evaluation. Here, we check whether the acquisition and evaluation of the product are in temporal and spatial relation to each other and whether there are contradictions in content. In this way, we investigate the question of whether the customer has actually used the product.
For example, a customer posts a review of a product the day before it is delivered to him or claims to have been using it for a month, even though the purchase was made only a week ago.
From the content of the reviews, it is clear that the rating cannot be the same as the rated product.
We then try to contact the authors of such conspicuous reviews in order to verify the statements in their reviews, if necessary. If the circumstances are clarified, the rating will be adjusted accordingly. If the circumstances for the rating remain too vague and unclear, the corresponding rating is filtered out. It is not displayed further or not published at all.
